Richard Gatta
Richard hails from Niskayuna, NY and began his ballet training as a youngster Northeast Ballet Company, performing annually in the Nutcracker at Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY. After training at the University of Buffalo as a BFA musical theater major, Richard was cast in the Asian international tour of GREASE, the musical. In 2007, he performed in the Macau International Music Festival and since has performed with various theater productions in the US and worldwide. Richard served as the Associate Choreographer for the US and Brazil touring companies of the TONY® Award-winning musical BILLY ELLIOT. Richard is currently serving as Choreography Supervisor for the TONY® nominated Broadway musical BRIGHT STAR, created by GRAMMY® award winners Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Richard received a BS degree in Business and Economics with a concentration in Arts Management from Empire State College. He currently resides in New York City where he continues to collaborate on new works for Broadway.
